Supporting Conservation Across Mississippi

The Mississippi Soil and Water Conservation Commission provides programs, resources, and assistance designed to support local Soil and Water Conservation Districts.

Our work addresses a variety of natural resource needs. Through partnerships with local, state, and federal organizations, MSWCC works to provide practical solutions that protect Mississippi's natural resources while supporting the people and communities that depend on them.

Watershed Dam Rehabilitation

Supporting the rehabilitation and improvement of aging watershed dams that continue to provide critical flood-control protection to Mississippi communities.

Water Quality

Working with landowners, conservation districts, and partners to address nonpoint source pollution and implement conservation practices that protect and improve Mississippi's water resources.

Surface Mining

Working alongside regulatory agencies and local Soil and Water Conservation Districts in the review of surface mining activities, with particular attention to land reclamation and responsible resource management.

Equipment Loans

Helping Soil and Water Conservation Districts obtain conservation equipment through financing and equipment assistance programs, allowing districts to make valuable tools and resources available to local landowners.
